An accomplished Shakespearean actress crosses the gender divide in her upcoming role for the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles.

Any list of the country's top Shakespearean performers would be incomplete if it didn't include Diane Venora. The veteran actress got her break at New York's Public Theater in the early 1980s and has since brought her fiery intensity to many of the Bard's plays on stage and screen.
