Study finds Texas? top 10 percent rule helps white students more than Hispanics

A study published in the journal Race and Social Problems found that that switching from a quota-style affirmative action policy in admissions to Texas colleges and universities to the “top 10 percent” rule, which guarantees admission to all students who graduate high school at the top of their class, has benefited white students relative to Hispanic students.
